CAI is to use tutorials, drill & practice, simulation, and problem solving approach to present topics and check that the student understands. It adds value in terms of assessment of the trainee wherein the weak areas of understanding are highlighted and the trainees are prompted to revisit the contents and move forward, till the score crosses a pre-defined threshold level.
